Neither of them really won. Both had suffered losses, and both didn't really gain anything after the war ended. However, it is popular to believe that Britain had won because America had proposed the peace treaty.

Yes, but you guys didn't get much done with that. After all, we did burn your parliament building that was in Canada. I think the location is York or somewhere like that. The war ended up as a stalemate really, and there wasn't much change in possessions (Although I wish New York was larger and we would get more tourist revenue from Niagara Falls on both sides)
