I really don't trust information on the internet that can be subtly edited by a troll looking to misinform people just for kicks.

Do you really think that a troll would edit somthing that isn't well known, and as a result, wouldn't be viewed by many?

For some reason reading all this makes me see death as a less scary thing.

But hey, the human brain is a marvel.
The nodes in the human heart provide electrical impulses that cause the heart muscles to beat, this is controled by the brain which is linked to the heart nodes by nerves.
A mains current is not required, this is more 'pacemaker' voltage than defibrilator.

I don't know what the hell you just said, but you're probably right. Therefore I award you this medal for melting my brain.

    You should be proud

No brain activity could last longer than 10 minutes or so. Unconsciousness comes quicker though.

When people say things I don't understand, they must certainly be right.

On a lot of sites they link their sources, so unless the entire science world is conspiring to give you incorrect obscure facts then you can trust stuff.

And if that isn't good enough you can be proactive and actually visit the sources if you want to discredit them.
