Halo 4 vs CoD

What I like most about Halo is that its a war game against aliens. Last I heard COD had a zombie mode, oh cool...

I'm kinda interested about the story and aliens, but mostly meh.
What I most like is the gameplay.

I've played COD since call of duty 3 for the ps2 in 2007... but I've played halo once or twice in a friend's house (he sold his xbox and now has a ps3) but I hated it.
No FPS is better than call of duty 4 in my opinion.

I understand. But what's the need to make a new series? For halo, there's still a lot of story left to be uncovered, and modes within the game certainly need to be developed (e.g. Theater, Forge, and the new Spartan Ops, which we haven't seen yet).

I'm sure it's about the same for CoD and Battlefield, but certainly not as much with the story (Do CoD and Battlefield even HAVE a storyline as complex as Halo's?).

I think Halo, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and all of these popular games are getting old. It's time all these companies ended the series and focused on making something completely new.

I'm not one of those die hard "Halo" or die hard "CoD" fans. I'm a gamer, and enjoy FPS Styles in general. I'm not relaly one to 'choose' between two of my favorites.
