Let me explain:
Nintendo is just great all-around. Sega has quite a bit mediocre games, but those great games are so amazing that you forget all about it. Sony had a great start (PS1 and PS2), but their games as a company was bad. They made bad games, if any. Microsoft is just in love with charging you for money. Kind of like Apple's app marketplace.

the only reason I put Nintendo at the top of my list is because of their old games
Ever since the DS and Wii came out, they've slowly stopped making good games and nowadays their games are just shit
The Mario games are stale and Nintendo only makes them for money
Skyward Sword was way too straightforward for a Zelda game, like oh my god
back in the days of the NES, SNES, N64, and Gamecube, though, Nintendo made lots of very original and creative games like Pikmin, EarthBound, and more

That is publishing, not making. It may seem similar, but there is a difference. They were fairly good at publishing, but if they did any game design, they sucked. For example, they published Final Fantasy VII─a great game─but they didn't make it really. They just payed the money and did all the marketing. Nintendo, on the other hand, has an entire team for developing games.

Although I play Xbox the reason I made Microsoft last is because you have to pay for basically everything. Since my PC sucks I have to use an Xbox to play good games. So it's 60$ a year for Xbox gold, otherwise an Xbox is pretty much useless. Each game costs around 40$-60$. The Xbox itself costs around 250$. When I ran out of Xbox gold I decided to watch some youtube videos on my xbox. Well guess what, you need xbox gold just to go on youtube or watch netflix, which you already pay for.

I posted the wrong link, but even if ALL games involving Sony were only published by Sony, then they've still got a big role in it, if Sony never published say Jak, or Spyro, or Crash.. I probably wouldn't have a childhood, I probably wouldn't have got into games in the first place, because my first game was Disney's Action Game Featuring Hercules, which in one way or another, involved Sony.
