So anyway, the first Member of the Week will actually be chosen/announced on the 19th, next Sunday.
A couple days isn't long enough to get enough nominations. On top of that, it will give me some extra time to figure out the perks. :]

Thanks V for trying to increase activity of members,
It's a good idea because well-known members that do good will be rewarded but..members that aren't so known but still do good maybe even better than most members won't be.
Is that completely necessary? I am pretty sure once the first member is chosen people will start intriguing and complainting how they never get in, leading them PMing their friends to nominate them; thus making this whole thing a huge propaganda.

As I've stated before, there is no reason for me to change my avatar. It's just as bad, offensive, useless, and stupid as any other avatar. I don't think this MotW will boost activity at all the way it is now. There are a few reasons:
What does the Member of the Week get? Pretty much nothing. 20 thanks? You can get 20 thanks by posting 'vforvendtte r gay' in village games. And who even cares about thanks?
Members nominate the MotW? Srsly? We can already see from the 'Nominate the next lotd' thread that it isn't a system that works.
It's just an idea that might be fun. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, oh well, no harm done.
