    Default Wisdom Teeth

So today I had my wisdom teeh pulled. I went under general astestisa and i am doing fine. My mouth is sore but thats normal.

So what I was wondering is how many here have gotten them pulled or have them scheduled to. I know many members here are too young to so also I wanna know who here knows they dont have to get them pulled.

Discuss your experiance if you have. Was it fine? Bad? Etc.

I've had mine removed. My mouth bled all day, eating was painful, and the medicine tasted like crap.

No, I'm glad that I don't have any wisdom teeth (that I know...), but I know for the fact that my sister had to pull hers out. I remember that our dad took her somewhere that's good to eat before the appointment and tell her to eat whatever she wants. After the appointment, she told me that she can't eat anything hard for the next few days, so not only was she in pain, but she was starving.

I most likely won't have to have mine removed, luckily.

I had mine removed it didnt hurt cause of the anesthetic, but it feels weird having someone inside your mouth with a pair of tongs pulling out things

I had mine pulled. That was fine. The pain was dull. The worst part was not eating solid foods. That blew.

I had mine pulled when I was 13. They were at right angles with the rest of my teeth, so I had to get them all pulled. Two at a time, though.
It didn't hurt at all during the surgery (seven shots of anesthesia do that)... but the first time, it hurt for 2 hours or so after it. Therefore, I took the painkillers before the surgery the second time. Worked like a charm.

Anyway, the doctor didn't tell me anything about eating... just to hold it off while I was bleeding.

When I got braces, I had to get my 4 six year mars pulled because my teeth were crowded. Anyways, I got the anesthesia shots, but my idiotic dentist did it wrong, so I felt ever but of my teeth getting pulled. It finally took affect when I got home, which was like a hour or so after he gave me the shot.

About eating: He said not to eat anything solid because it could affect the area and cause it to start bleeding. So I just ate ice cream for the day.

The terrible part was that I had to rinse with salt water to kill the bacteria and prevent an infection from happening.

I haven't got my wisdom teeth pulled yet but I must ask, they put you under general anesthesia? I'd imagine that they would numb only your mouth using local anesthesia.

They used local anesthesia with me. I even counted the hammerhits when they pulled the ones on the top -- 42 for the right tooth, 78 for the left one.
