Yeah, I'm sure the article on about.com, a website aimed largely at 30 somethings with kids to look after and which has extensive advice about "talking to your teen about alcohol/marijuana/drugs/etc." isn't biased at all

That's because alcohol is legal, which makes it easier to obtain.

Yeah yeah whatever. It's not actually harmless, but isn't harmful either, at least not in a comparable way to that of alcohol, COCAINE, HEROIN, are you kidding me? You cannot compare marijuana with hard drugs like those.

No one dies from using cannabis, it's not addictive. You can scream "gateway drug!" all you want but that doesn't make the substance itself harmful. It's used as a medicine for pete's sake.

It benefits patients. Through vaporization and edibles, patients are able to medicate without doing damage to their lungs.

It doesn't affect you, it affects no one but me or whomever is smoking marijuana. It's none of your business! It's none of the state's business, the police's business, the government's business, it's nobody's business but the individual's.

If you don't like weed don't do it. Simple as that. There's no justification for criminalizing it because it doesn't hurt anyone.

Id illegalize it (To an extant), from what Im trying to remember from DARE: Marijuana causes memory failure, slowness in reflexes, and possibility of lung damage. Medical uses though should be fine but regulated.

I am generalising and not using you in my argument. I'm not telling you to do anything as I have no authority over you. However, it's the state's job to protect it's citizens and legalising it isn't doing that. It could affect someone who doesn't smoke it as well, e.g. a father smoking it and not being able to provide for his family.
