It's essentially the same thing but you can't eat bacon and have to fast in day light hours in holy months, so essentially it's like a diet version of the 'full fat' religions. It seems that advertising campaigns don't motivate westerners to stop smoking drinking or eating kuntucky fried mc chicken nipples, so perhaps a paradigm shift from secular governments to the ummah would do some good!
The ummah additionally demands 2.5% of earnings go to charity, unlike the measly 0.7% the west actually provides to starving nations.

Hence solving the obesity epidemic and world hunger simultaenously.
