This isn't a license to post threads for whatever you want, if you post a thread that says "haha this is not a blog" then its going to be locked because that's just spam. If you have something that is useful, but might not have much discussion value, like some youtube video you like, then its fine."assuming you're not spamming."

No, this is a change, and the smods will respect it, but they will still lock most threads that are spam. Notice how most of the threads that have been posted are more just "omg i post this it isn't blawg" which is spam either way.
