edit: I pressed force updated on the options on the launcher and it said will force, but nothing happens

What examples of situations will you use /kick?: Lots of spam, non stop foul language, as a warning to warn griefers, pretty much use it to warn other people.
What are some examples of situations that you would use /tempban?: If they continue what they're doing after kicking them and explaining that they cannot do that on the server, I will most likely temp-ban them.
What examples of situations will you use /ban?: Most likely if they use hacking devices and use them to massively grief or spam the server. Or if they come back after a temp-ban and start doing what they did again.
Do you have the ability to record video?: Yes I can use FRAPS or Hypercam.
How much time per day can you spend on the server: When I have no life I usually play Minecraft all day. When I actually have things to do I usually go on at least for two hours a day.

You check the force update then login, then it should update and remove all the mods you have installed and update to the latest version, if that doesnt work try to delete your .minecraft folder and redownload minecraft, if that doesnt work either then i dont know whats wrong

I deleted the minecraft folder and then tried to redownload the 1.2.5 version but when I am in the launcher it says not downloaded and it disables the play offline option

edit: when I put on my minecraft folder it lets me in, do I have to delete it completely or just put it in the recycle bin?
