A suggestion though: simply instead of putting an age limit a warning page:
"This sub forum may contain mature subject matter. User discretion is advised"

I hate to say it, but there are laws that restrict people from posting and viewing sexual material on the internet. It basically comes down to the fact that you'd have to be 18 to enter the section if you want the forum to not break the law.

This means that everyone who enters the section has to be 18 or older. Obviously, lying about age can do the trick but because most of the members gave out their age the moderators can simply restrict nearly the entire current userbase from entering.

I'd love to see such a section, but I can't see it happening on basis of what I just said.

Well, it doesn't have to be naked pics everywhere. I mean, there are things which might not be considered entirely appropriate but still shows somewhat more mature content which isn't, idk, showing parts which you need to be 18 for legally. It can also just be discussions about those things, would that also be against the law?
