Big Ben to be renamed as Elizabeth Tower
Ah, Europe. The continent of riches and total foreignness. First comes Northwest Europe. Next comes United Kingdom. Then comes England. Then comes London. Finally comes Big Ben. Or, Elizabeth Tower.
Apparently, the famous clock tower Big Ben, surviving after 153 years, is going to be renamed the Elizabeth Tower in honour of Queen Elizabeth of any number.
Thoughts on this?

I dont see why they should. The queen is known well enough. It is like the sears tower that was renamed willis tower I believe. I dont see the point.
Keep it the way it is, nobody likes the name of a historic landmark being changed...

this is just stupid to rename it just keep it and build another giant clock thing and name it elizabeth tower
