We don't need another system for people to abuse.
Keep the thanks system to posts and just delete thank threads, that's the simplest way to do things.

I don't see what would be wrong with blog thanks. If a blog thank system were to be implemented, it shouldn't count towards one's total thanks since people sometimes post spammish blogs.
