If this incredibly gory story was written well, I'd read it, if that answers anything. There's really nothing you can write about that would stun me, or scar me mentally, or really have any large effect on me. The only lasting knowledge would be what kind of writer you are.

Curiosity has always got the best of me.
I could read the worst of books about how someone got raped, without blinking. It's just my way of seeing and thinking of what reality actually is.
I find it somewhat relaxing knowing that bad things can happen and that you should rather be mentally prepared then physically when they happen. Because then you wont always have to blame it on someone around you since you already got that pretty much figured out.

I'm not saying I like to read about the holocaust or look into the mind of a racist murderer. I just like to be able to separate reality from what's just overreactions in your mind.

Yey, the intended reaction. Now if I had made it a tad bit more outlandishly silly, it would have potentially made you laugh. I find it odd how slight changes can cause a new reaction.

I read descriptions and quotes posted by the bbc news. They didn't have any highly strung emotion to them, which I suppose was the most off putting aspect because it gave an antiseptic impression to the descriptions of the murders.

    Raar!

Well...to be honest, being based off a real story, I might be put off by it....a little

Antiseptic you say? I never heard such a word be used in a context like that. I presume you meant bland: am I correct?

You have to be over the age of 32 to be a registered paedophile.

Oh, okay. Wow, I was way off. When I was letting my dogs in, I thought, "Wait, doesn't antiseptic mean clean and clean as in smooth or moving in literature? I am way off then."
