Thread: Mental censorship.

Hybrid View

    Default Mental censorship.

If I were to write you a story, incredibly implausible but also horrifically and sexually violent and perhaps personally compromising, the JV staff would of course not allow you to read it. Furthermore if they didn't remove it, how many of you would actually read and willfully follow the narrative of the story- even if it placed you commiting attrocious tabboo, such as being a paedophile?

I doubt very many of us would willfully read and process such stories, eventhough the thoughts it would instill in us would be vapid and ultimately harmless; it would make us uncomfortable to place ourselves even hypothetically in those situations.

...and this is the theme of discussion, how far do you allow your mind to wander into the horrific or attrocious realms it may spontaneously explore? Do you blot out such thoughts as a mental discipline, rationally dissect them or just try to think about something else? Perhaps you even fear that other people might, somehow, know and be horrified at your thoughts- and so use that as a justification to stop having dirty thoughts in public.

    Raar!

Anything can be justified as postmodern if you claim it's ironic.

Easy. Keep going Ram, something still worse can happen.

Besides... How the heck could that even happen?

You were abusing something caught in the trap, but it struggled to free itself and the trap proceeded to slam shut on your delicate tissues.

I let my mind think about whatever I want. I get things in my head I would rather not think about then I have to try to think of something else. It isnt always easy. As for people reading my thoughts, that has never crossed my mind. I have always thought of it as impossible.

In reference to thinking other people can read your thoughts, for a long time I was paranoid over this, eventhough I appreciate it was impossible. Therefore I decided to actually have terrible thoughts when I was around people and felt that paranoya, and nobody has ever been bothered, of course.

    Try it.

That is actually a hilarious idea. I never thought to do that. If it were possible to read thoughts, it weould be interesting to see the extent of the reading thoughts process. Is it select reading? Do other peoples thoughts jumble in your head for no reason not even knowing whose thoughts they are? The possibilities of this are endless and it is an interesting idea I never really paid attention to.

    hehheh

I'd read it because this stuff most likely actually happens (except if it involves FUM raping the ball of funk)
if I get bad thoughts I just remind myself a small thought becomes an idea an idea becomes an action and an action could become a habit
learned that the hard way [i was about to make an action :/ ]

After thinking about it, I'd probably end up reading it, just to see how twisted the author can make the story.

I usually find it hard to stop once I already started it.

In public I try to not thing about bad things because I am extremely paranoid about people reading my thoughts. I know it is physically impossible, but yet I still have that feeling. But usually I don't try to stop what I am thinking about. Maybe I will sometimes, but not all the time.

    Watch from 12:23 to 14:00.

(Warning: It's an atrociously lame erotic novel he's reading, so there will be words kiddies)

Is this the kind of story you're on about Rammjet?

Remember what you said about being a friend now?
The movement in her hips strikes the hour when the poison sets in
    How do you wake?
How do you sleep at night?
    Remember what you said
