I don't like any advertisements.

Advertisements revolve around the idea that we, as individuals, are dumb enough to let catchy jingles, recognizable brand names, or bandwagon techniques decide where we spend our money. They're wastes of time and are being forced into every aspect of our lives. Television, Youtube, video games, plastered on the sides of buildings, roads, and stadiums... my city even has trucks which drive around covered with constant LCD-screened advertisements, doing nothing but clogging up traffic. I guess it's a byproduct of a capitalist economy, but I really wish we didn't have a populace who "liked" advertisements.

I don't think anyone likes advertisements. However, we, including you, prefer one advertisement over another. Whether it be because it is more catchy, or because another is more noisy and obnoxious, we all have preferences.
