Shadow Tournament

- SHADOW TOURNAMENT -

I've noticed that a lot of the tournaments we have here in the Platform Racing 3 section of the forum aren't completed, or aren't made very well, and have a number of problems. This being the first tournament I'm hosting, it may have some problems of its own. However, I will do my best to keep the tournament running, and of the best quality.

So, if you plan to join the Shadow Tournament, in your post, clearly state that you would like the join the tournament. By signing up for the tournament, you agree to abide by all the rules. Feel free to ask any questions, and more information will be posted later.

The tournament will be played in one-on-one matches on popular and well-made races. The winner will advance to the next round, and the loser will not play any more matches. There is no back draw. Single elimination.

For each of the rounds, the two participants facing each other will schedule a time, and try and achieve the best time they possibly can on the scheduled race. The players will contact me via private message, and, included in your private message, you need to have a screenshot. For the sake of the tournament, please, do not fake screenshots.

There is currently one prize, for the winner. If you'd like to submit another prize, send me a private message with details.

I know it's pretty vague, but it's going to be in tournament bracket form, and players are going to be racing each other in a one-on-one.

That pretty much sums up what the players are going to be doing. Just racing each other, in good, popular races in a one-on-one match.

Showing up on PR3 for matches might be too much to ask. What if people got things to do IRL? I feel that's gonna be a problem so therefore, I have a proposition for you. I think that the players should post a screenie of their best time to you VIA PM and if they fail to do that within so and so, they should be eliminated.

It will be a mixture of all the greats on Platform Racing 3.

Now, I have a question for you guys: Do you think it would be a good idea for me to reveal the levels going to be played sooner rather than later? On the one hand, if I release them soon, players may have quite a bit of time to practice the levels. On the other hand, some players may not have that advantage.
If I release it later, I believe it will test the real skill of the player, as they won't have much time to practice.

I'm not sure. I don't mind really as long as it's not too late. In my opinion, I think the minimum time for practice should be 2-4 days.

So you would like it earlier, rather than later. Some of the choices are:

• Day of
• Right before race
• Random day before day of race
