It would be public, everyone would see it.
Ok, so you expect bullying to be solved for everyone if people donate money to everyone that is getting bullied.
The reason people are sending money is because this kind of thing usually doesn't happen. I mean, yeah bullying happens all the time, but how often to you see a group of kids harassing an elderly woman right to her face? Also, this video went viral, so do you expect people to just sit back and do nothing? Nope, people are going to donate money whether you like it or not.
I've heard the kids involved have been getting death threats. Looks like they're getting the attention they wanted from filming this bullying. Probably not the attention they wanted, but then karma is a fickle mistress.
I'm just saying it isn't fair to kids that actually need support as well as Adults.
Although it's the SAME kind of jeering any child can recieve, all the attention is focused on one person because it got recorded.
There's rape, any donations to one person in particular, no?
Domestic violence, one person? nope

Yeah, you wouldn't be saying that if you were her. Ever heard of "respect your elders"? All bullying is bad, yes, but is it ever going to end? Probably not. People donating money to her shows that people are against bullying.
Think about all the kids who have been bullied, now imagine how they would feel about the fact that someone gets more love and sympathy than them.

Actually, I'm half black myself, and I have no problem with forigners, it's just when they think they can put everyone down is when it really just ticks me off.

So this is what the world's come to? This is pretty much just a lack of respect for basic human rights, is what it is... what really sickens me is that no provocation had been done prior to it, even. It's just... more or less "Hey, why don't we go pick on somebody for no good reason?", and that's just plain stupid and disrespectful. I can't really say much more than I just hope they get the punishment they deserve; and I fully agree with some of the suggestions listed in this thread already. Seems like it would be good.

Oh my god, look at what the world's come to; a group of kids in a developed nation are ungreatful to their elders! Oh my gosh, the humanity! I mean, I thought the holocaust was bad, but the fact that world's ended up in this state is horrifying- I better think of ways to excessively torture these kids.
Meanwhile, in Africa...
