Personally I think that it's not a big deal...
In medieval times it was normal to be twelve and pregnant.... so I'm wondering when it became such a big deal....

My aunt had her son at 15.

In medieval times it was also normal to have sex with your relatives and prostitution was a big and important job.
People live a lot longer nowadays, having children at that age in those times would probably be the equivalent to somebody around the age of 17 or 16 having children now. (correct me if I'm wrong, I just woke up so bleh)
Anyways, teens usually don't have the maturity or the resources needed to care for a child. Most people who support teen pregnancy are teens themselves who just want to have sex without consequences.

-Therefore people having children earlier may be seen as sexually irresponsible.
-Lots of people dislike that for a whole variety of reasons.

hmm... it's not written anywhere that it's wrong, but our culture somehow grew to the belief that getting a 12 year old pregnant is f**ked up.
I personally think it's wrong, but I can't think of a legitimate reason why other than teens are shitty parents.
It's just our culture that makes a pregnant 12 year old seem f**ked up.
I'd say it's just not a good idea, when you're older, you have your own house, have more money to support yourself, thus giving your child a more stable living environment , however, IF you are younger and have enough to be able to support both you and your child well, I'd say give it a shot, of course if you trust your partner, because I''ve heard the teen dads usually leave.

Culture once agreed that it was okay for other races to be segreated too... so yeah, I think there is a modernisation I suppose.
If you mean "Teen" as in under the legal age teen, then yeah, I think it's irresponsiable and stuff and stuff, and I usually associate that with the chav (scum) population which I dislike to a far extent and then yes, I do have a problem, because I don't think that someone who has become accidentally preganant and has barley any respect for themselves, can't speak, bad grades, etc., has the ability to raise a decent kid that won't grow up as a high picted voice brat that will go on to breed, like rats.
The only reason they seem 'f***ked up" is because they're young and have no means to support themselves nor their child. You have no right to say who or who will not make a good parent. None of us do.

Also there's the underlying feeling that a 12 year old mother is just wrong. That comes from our culture.

Give me a list of 12 year olds who live on their own with no help from mommy and daddy. Truth is a lot of young people cant support themselves, especially at 12 yrs old.
My sister was a teen mother she did a great job raising her kids.
So you're implying 12 year olds won't make good parents, yet at the same time saying we have no right to judge who would or wouldn't make a good parent?
