So correct me if I'm wrong, but when you search something on Google Images, it will look for it most recently posted somewhere. My idea is to take some popular search, and then post random pictures on here with those words from that search under it. Most likely this won't work and I'll make a complete fool out of myself, but heck, why not give it a shot?
My example to get it started.
Edit: Ok like you guys pointed out and I was thinking when I wrote this, this won't work. Did some research on how it works, and this is one example which sums it up pretty well.
So yep, I made myself look like an idiot. They extract local descriptors (SIFT descriptors) on the images.
Measure of similarity between two images is defined as the number of interest points (descriptor vectors) shared between the two images divided by their average number of interest points.
The similarity between images is considered as probabilistic visual hyperlinks (this is necessary as there are no actual links between the images) and this leads to using the PageRank algorithm for ranking.
