Kira guide thread

A god of death, also known as a Shinigami dropped a death note into the human world seeking luls and ultimate entertainment. It caused a big battle between 2 sides; these are good or evil depending on your viewpoint. Chaos followed the droppings of these books with the ability to terminate lives. What is unexpected is that even more Shinigami pursued luls and so dropped several death notes. That’s why these games exist.
Basically, this game is a total ripoff of MAFIA, but is fun as hell. The key to this game is intelligence, cunning and betrayal. Seeing as I think I’ve got a lot of experience with this game and some of the detectives are doing really poor jobs without key players I felt this thread was needed. Also Clippy said I was his favourite player.
ONE OF THE MAIN TIPS FOR EVERYONE IS TO COMPLETELY ANALAYSE THE RULES!!!!!! lol he said anal
Often there may be loopholes in the rules you can use to your advantage, exploit these loopholes as much as possible. If you find a loophole, don’t go spreading it. Keep it to yourself so that no one else will be able to use it too. If you use this to create an advantage people will come flocking to you for advice.
The usual win conditions unless otherwise stated are:
- Kira wins if L and any classes directly associated with him are killed (includes detectives).
- L wins if Kira and all classes directly associated are killed. Normally there are no classes associated with Kira. If there are not enough non-Kira players to vote Kira out Kira also wins.
The only win condition that remains constant is:
- Yak always wins.
- ”I’LL TAKE A POTATO CHIP… AND EAT IT”
- ”I will become the God of this world.”
So, you’re Kira? You evil, ruthless son of a *****. I like you. You’re the most powerful player out there, but always the target for that bunch of fools. You have to do everything possible to avoid being caught, whilst taking out key members at the same time.
-Plan everything out
You should have several plans devised incase something goes wrong, backups of backups are necessary. If you don’t have a plan to kill everyone you meet (lol teeefftoo) and get away with it you will be caught.
-Gain a false class PM ASAP
This is REALLY important; people love to see the proof behind what you claim to be. If you get one of these you can provide video “evidence” behind it all. All the L related players please note from now on it’s very important to trust no one at all.
-Don’t claim to be a class
This draws A LOT of attention to yourself and makes you look more suspicious than ever before. When accused of being Kira make sure to defend yourself and try to provide an alibi; PM a friend when you’re sending a Kira message, perhaps? You could also go down the “I troll kira” route, claim to be a class, never defend yourself and just act generally like Skagrind or Spider-man.
-Lurk
At the start of a game people always vote out the active players for no reason whatsoever. Lurk for the first part of the game and then become active later on. Always analyse everyone’s information on who Kira is and kill off whoever is making the accusation, especially if it is wrong. DO NOT KILL OFF THE PERSON IF YOU HAVEN’T DONE THIS AT ANY POINT IN THE GAME SO FAR! Always make sure to never get involved in any silly arguments as it may make you look suspicious.
Of course, if you’re going for the trol route disregard everything I said.

-Have high priority targets
Yeah, your main target is L go for him hurr durr ok. Also, make sure to not make any random killings until you are sure someone poses a threat. It might be a good idea to get rid of good, experienced players who may spring up and catch you later on, but leave a few to make the game fun and to not draw too much attention to yourself. If you’re killing all the good players it’ll be apparent that you’ve played before.

-L
L will be someone who refuses to bandwagon vote and tries to stop people from bandwagon voting, especially on the first day. If you kill off several Ls the morale of players will go down.
-Reflect other players’ moods
If players are mad at kira, get mad at kira. If players are pleased with L praise L. If Kira’s doing nothing and everyone’s raging, rage. Act like the crowd.

-Accomplices
They can be handy, but also can be your pitfall. I would only advise getting an accomplice if you had a pact before the game with a player.

You’re L. You lead that bunch of nincompoops trying to catch Kira. You think you’re above everyone and so much better, but you’re not. You’re the biggest nincompoop of them all and you really need help.
-Anonymous Messages
This is used to help that bunch of slackers get organised and to stop killing each other. Tell them who you suspect without the risk of being killed. Make points that you want people to understand. Stop the mindless voting going on. This really helps you not to be killed if you use them effectively. Use them too much and Kira will easily find out who you are.
A thing to avoid is saying to avoid voting for X, unless you suspect X of being kira and the kiras have not made contact, as this will create a target for Kira to kill.
-Don’t let anyone know who you really are
No matter how much you trust someone there could be a traitor amongst your most trusted group and there could even be one amongst the Ls! (ax6)
-Know who to trust
This is only for if you are assigning a successor. You really don’t want Kira to be the next L do you? (hi ax6)
-Kira knows a LOT
Kira will always know a lot because of his role. He has to stay ahead of the game the whole time so will know a lot of what’s going on. People who pickup on things and are unusually sharp, unlike their normal selves are likely to be kira.
-You change your mind like a girl changes clothes
If you see someone constantly voting for different people or withdrawing votes over a day that person may be your kira! They want to see where a vote on a certain player will land them so they try it to see if anyone will bandwagon.
Kira loves to bandwagon
Every kill without eyes means an eye use saved. Kira’s goal is to kill everyone so why not jump on a bandwagon?
-Look for people trying too hard
If someone is trying too hard to fit in with the crowd that could be Kira, if they do it all the time you should get VERY suspicious of them.
-Sloppy response
If someone gives sloppy replies or things with holes in them they probably have something to hide.
- “Kira is childish and he hates losing… I’m also childish and hate losing.”
- "If you can't solve the puzzle, you're nothing but a loser."
You’re mindless, one of the sheep. They call you useless, but they don’t know the power of you! If only it could be released! You should follow most of the tips I gave to L as they are very important for you to survive against the might of Kira.
-You are the least powerful class, but also the most powerful
Through your unimportance you are very important. Kira won’t go out of his way to kill you unless you’re an exceptional player. You don’t have a fancy death note or a fancy L team. You have a vote! Work alone creating plans and working out classes. You can win the game with your vote.
-Don’t role claim
K, it’s still silly for a detective because you’ll only get sent to slaughter.
-Blend in
You have to be part of the crowd, but not try hard. Just react in a normal way, Kira will often act in a forced way amongst the crowd so lookout for that.
-Play games
Play games with Kira if you think you have them cornered but make sure you’ve told someone of your suspicions. Kira may even make you an accomplice in the hurry to get you off their back and then you can create ultimate luls by helping Kira if you feel evil.

- “Will you be eating that cake?...say what you want, but I will be taking the cake.”
-Be polite
It’s only a game, no need to go effing and blinding about something.
-Be effiecient
If you change your mind and ideas all the time you become inefficient and the suspicions against you rise. You look devious if you do this. I refer to this voting style as wishy washy.
-Lie
Lying is the key to this game, everything you do must be a lie, but a believable one. If it’s too ridiculous it will unravel and no matter how innocent you are you will be executed. If you contradict you will suffer.
-READ THE RULES
I’m Mentioning this twice because it’s uber important. PooPy’s game has very different to the common layout, but the basic mechanics were the same. Make sure you are comfortable with the rules and you know the ins and outs. If you’re not sure ask the game host and I’m sure they’d be happy to answer any qualms one may have.
-Dead men don’t tell tales
This is very important. Wait until you’re revived before you reveal any information. If you want to post anything that might be of use to the detectives or Kira make sure to run it by the game host first. No one likes a cheat.
