I have a shirt pocket, but surely a wrapper would been seen against a white shirt.

I wasn't saying 'this is what happens everywhere' I was just saying 'this is what I think would happen in my case'.

It's also possible to conceal contracpetion in your bag, unless you're not allowed those at your school. x3

To be honest, there are places that give free condoms, so if my school doesn't distribute it, I know where to get some.

And, I'm not sure about other countries, but in the US it's legal for anybody to buy condoms. I've bought some to make mento bombs before.

Condoms aren't hard to get. I don't think it's necessary for them to be distributed in school when you can just go get them from a store

Might as well since a lot of people don't want to go out and buy them

    It depends on the situation.

This means that the schools will have to pay for them, making their budget even tighter, requiring them to spend less money on things that will actually help with the students education.

Heh, why not. Well, back at my school, I'm quite sure 85% (or more) of the people had sex... and zero pregnancies. Apparently they knew where to buy condoms.

But yeah, in many cases, it would help a lot. I mean, teenagers won't stop having sex just because you tell them to -- and the scare techniques used in some places, like that large country up north that has provided this thread with many replies, are really pathetic. It's like teaching at school that you should behave because Santa Claus won't bring you presents if you don't.

    And if 98% were used?

Arbitrary bullshit ideas plucked out of the air. If only one in ten were used they will go on to prevent unwanted pregnancies and STI's, saving much much more money- if that's the angle you want to take- than the price of the latex they're fabricated from. It's a no brainer.

Antibiotics, medical diagnosis, abortions, child care, all of these amount to a far greater sum even if only a tiny tiny percentage of contraception available is used , not to mention the human benefits- which is rather the point from my perspective.
My tax dollars don't have to go toward that. And yes I am a taxpayer; on sales, property, and income.

What if schools sold them at wholesale price?

I'm leaning towards no. They should be explained in class, but they shouldn't be handed out. It's their fault if they're too stupid not to use a condom anyway.
