Well, I guess I can't be sure it's Vista's fault, since I've only used one computer with Vista, but here are the three biggest problems I had:
    1) Booting up did not always work well, one problem or another would come up and I'd have to try again.
    2) Screen resolution automatically changed, couldn't set it back without rebooting.
    3) Sometimes it would start lagging (not REAL bad, but bad enough to make PR2/3 difficult to play) and only fix was to reboot. Task Manager said no process was using any CPU, but that ~70% of one of the two cores was being continually used.

Also, Windows regularly gets updates. Why don't they ever fix ANYTHING? (I seriously can't remember noticing a single fix or improvement from those updates.)

They're mostly security fixes, stuff like that.

Its way to much like Window's phones. To much touch screen stuff that I really don't thing I'll want very much. So I most likely won't upgrade, but if I happen to buy a new computer in the future it'll most likely be Windows 8.

In general I dislike Microsoft's software. Just too many fails.

    What?
I have never, ever, had a problem using Windows' software, and I've had a Windows computer for as long as I can remember.
I've been using Windows since 98 when I was about 4 years old, and none of their systems have been bad.. Perhaps bad in comparison to their newest stuff, but never bad at the time.
How can you say, "Windows fails", when I've gone through something like 14 years with Windows, and nothing has ever gone wrong.. Windows is fine.. I just think you've got misplaced hatred.

I've had a go at using Win8, It's capable of running a windows 7 theme, you can set either touch display or mouse display like a normal windows desktop, very cool.

I don't see why people complain about vista. The only problems I ever had with it were that I didn't like how it looked and I couldn't change the startup sound.

    My school has windows 2004
And I got windows 7 when it just came out I don't think I'll get windows 8 though because there's nothing wrong with the computer I have which means I'm not getting a new one .-.
