Windows 8

Windows 8 is supposed to come out in September this year. it seems like Windows 7 just came out even though we've had it for 3 years now.

I use a Mac and was considering getting Windows 8 as a dual operating system. I think it'd be cool and whatever I can't do now (program wise) I'd probably be able to!

1. Should I get it when it comes out?
2:Will you get it?
If not, then why?

In general I dislike Microsoft's software. Just too many fails. (Though I haven't yet tried a Mac...)

I plan on getting Windows 8.
The OP will be significantly lighter, and easier to use via touchscreen (The future/at least) and other means of organization.
People take fffoorrrreeevvveeerrrr to adjust to newer things introduced to our world, I would prefer to be a step ahead, even if it sucks.

I've been using windows 8 consumer preview for almost three months now, and its pretty good. I don't really use much of the metro stuff, but that hasn't really been finished yet either, so there isn't much of a reason to. I will get the full version the day it comes out, and see what the final one is like.

I'd rather stick to Windows 7 for these reasons:

1) All the stuff on my computer is Windows 7 based and if I changed that it'd mess all my whole database.
2) Windows 7 (in my opinion) is probably the best version of Windows yet.

Meh, just has extra bells and whitsles (heh, that's expected) which I don't mind, but it's that I don't need Metro, as I don't think I'm going to get a touchscreen computer anytime soon.

i havent touched win8 since it was in its early beta. It was basically win7 without a start menu.. the start menu was an ulgy tablet looking home menu.. and it had some other little things but over all win8 was already going in the wrong direction.
