No, it's a comparitively small landmass if we compare it to actual continents and it doesn't have an entire signficiant tectonic plate of its own [the cocos and the carribean are tiny, and mostly submerged, and the north and south american plates are not exclusive to the region]

When I look at my miniature globe, the word CENTRAL AMERICA is smaller than NORTH AMERICA, but bigger than MADAGASCAR.

Definately not. I don't know much of Central America but I do know about the Canal that allows for easy water accessbetween the Pacific and Atlantic.

I would say it is part of North America, considering Mexico is considered part of Central America.
