It's A Story! (Or A Mess)

Alrighty, I am quite bored, so I'm gonna give this a try.

This is a story that is written by whoever cares to post in this thread. So basically, Somebody will write an intro, and then the below posters must write a paragraph of equal length, that is somewhat relevant to the above post.

I know people have tried to do these "Neverending Story" threads in the past, but they never worked out that well due to either lack of interest, or the story makes absolutely no sence and becomes inappropriate.

So, to keep it from not working right, I've put some rules in place.

1) The post must be relevant to the above post, and it must MAKE SENSE!
2) There must be at least 5 sentences per post.
3) I don't expect grammar to be perfection.
4) Ever so often I will post a big chunky post containing the whole story up to that point in time, to see if it makes any sense whatsoever.
5) Keep your dirty mind to yourself.
6) ???
7) Uh, Profit?
8) Any genre will be accepted.
9) Reserves are allowed, just keep up with them.

Once upon a time, a kid named Eric was sitting near a lake called the Antilles lake. He never did anything else in his free time, which concerned his mother, but he didn't see what was wrong with it. They did live in Antarctica, and there wasn't much else to do besides freeze. As he lied down next to the lake, he realized he was sliding. In fact, everything was sliding. All ofa sudden, he heard a cracking noise beneath him.

As soon as he heard the noise, he started to panic, but it was too late. He'd already started to go under the water. The water was freezing cold ad it hurt him. He didn't know what to do. He struggled to get back up, but it may have been too late. Then, something really weird happened. He looked below him and saw a mermaidlike creature.

Deep underneath the ice, there was a mermaidlike creature gracefully gliding through the frigid lake. Suddenly she froze. She heard muffled cracking from the ice above. She wasn't quite sure what to do, but she looked up in alarm. She saw a shape like a human on top. Cracks were forming around it. She darted up, but then she remembered.

The surface was forbidden.

Suddenly the cracking was louder until.

SPLASH!

The figure plunged into the water.

Confused at the unfolding of events, the mermaid-like creature slowly backed away from this surface dweller, unsure of what to do. W*(Webbi:) The creatured looked at the boy in shock. Her bright green eyes blinked, completely contrasting to her blue figure. She swam down, unsure of what to do. But she saw the struggling look in his eyes.

Should she ignore the rules and save the human?*

Eric franticly splashed around the Antilles. He was an okay swimmer, but not the very best. His father had trained him in what to do in these types of situations, but practising was easier when you weren't freezing. He felt the water nearly freeze his skin off as he tried to resurface, which he had no luck at. He started to lose his breath when all of a sudden a figure dashed towards him that looked somewhat human...

I think we should not include HalfLite's post.

The mermaid could not resist, so she gazed at Atlantis, whispered 'I'm sorry' to herself, and rushed to help the human to the surface. She saw that he was not breathing, so she did something no other mermaid would even dream of doing.

She gave Eric the Potion of Maritime Survival. Eric woke up instantly after drinking the potion. His legs were slowly morphing together, and suddenly he was feeling out of breath. He slipped off of the iceberg he was perched on, and fell in the water again...only this time...it felt right. By then, his legs had morphed into a fish tail, and seeing the mermaid, he began to realize the truth ofthe situation. He was becoming a merman.

The mermaid like creature smiled. She kicked her webbed feet, and motioned for the merman to follow her into the sea. She then swam deeper into the sea. Looking up, she checked if the boy was following her.

This is not part of the story, just a suggestion.

You should add a rule saying to make your paragraph logical and not have "chocolate bunnies flying out of an exploding submarine" in your paragraph.

If you want me to delete this post, just tell me.

He was not, though. Eric was too busy panicking, struggling to get out of his newfound body, when te mermaid went over to him and coaxed him.

"Relax," she said, "I'm pretty sure being a merman is a whole lot better than being dead."

"What the hell is going on? Where am I?" Eric asked, frantically.

"My name is Erzuli, and right now, we are in the outer realm of Atlantis," she replied.

"Just follow me. You'll be safe", Erzuli smiled. She took hold of Eric's hand, and swam deeper. He struggled to escape, but the mermaid's grasp was oddly strong. He took a deep breath, but was surprised and started choking.

"Your just pretending to choke. Now stop being a whussie". Erzu chuckled.

Startled, Eric finally cooperated with Erzuli, and entered Atlantis. While they were swimming across the land, dozens of mermaids and mermen were looking at the boy oddly, for they knew he was a foreigner. Soon, the king was notified of the foreigner, and saw that Erzuli was taking him somewhere.

"Where do you think you're going, foreigner?" the king grunted.

Erzuli looked at the king. Eric had a glint of terror in his eyes.

"I found him stranded out near the Shore", Erzu lied, smoothly. "He can't seem to remember where he's from".

The king grunted.

"Foreigner. What is your name?", the king's loud voice echoed.

"M-my name is E-Eric, Lord", he stammered.
