5th anniversary

Next year to celebrate the 5th anniversary of pr2 there should be some sort of special update.

here are my ideas.

1: every server will always have happy hour activated.

2: A new hat should be released, in my head came the Army helmet: It gives you double ammo for all weapons, (6 laser gun shots, two mines etc.)

3: People that have been banned for eternity (five years) in 2008 are allowed back on and they get a welcome back!!! banner.

4: all levels will have a fireworks display in the background.

i disagree with 3 and 4.

3. No, they'd feel special for something WRONG that they did, so they pretty much don't deserve that. That'll make newbies think they're exceptional from the rest of PR2.

4. No, it will ruin the mood that some certain levels give by their background.

Yeah, but come on, it's been 5 years since that person was banned, they obviously would have realized their mistake,

and also, when they see that banner, they might think:

"wow, I was such a dick to this game, and now they are welcoming me back, I must redeem myself, no matter how long it takes."

But meh, after thinking about it, I'd doubt they would remember pr2 after 5 years

Minus the hat, I'm all in if the levels are the normal background and the lobby/chat have the special background. Good idea!

I think it's a good idea, but you could just create a Rammjet quality level commemorating pr2 instead of asking for an update, that'd be pretty cool.
But an update would be cool :p (possibly)

In addition to all that, new body parts should be added and perhaps a new campaign. The more new stuff the better because a game being this popular for 5 years is pretty special so it should be celebrated.

Yeah, but come on, it's been 5 years since that person was banned.

Bans expire after 4.6 years. So people banned in 2008 would start being unbanned this year anyway. Also, wasn't every ban wiped out back in 2010? Or am I wrong?

Oh, and fred the cactus will hug everybody as well on anniversary day, disconnecting everyone as he has his chocolate fudge birthday cake

Didn't Jiggmin first try to give the top hat out to everyone's acc that was more than a year old or something before he chose to have it on a level, but said that the data somehow got deleted?

No idea, I wasn't here when the Top Hat was introduced.
Anyway, I was shown a screenie of Jiggmin replying to someone's PM about knowing how to retrieve that kind of info.

...You do know that an eternity ban dosen't literally last for eternity right?

It lasts about 5 years (999999999999 seconds)

...no seriously, everything in pr2 is measured in seconds >_>
