Yes I do believe in ghosts
No I don't believe that they exist
Well this thread exploded. By JV's standards, anyway.
Not everything happens because of evolution and scientific reasoing. What I'm saying is we aren't here because of evolution alone. Like Voltaire said back in the Elightment era, there must be some kind of creator who made the eyes to see and the ears to hear. Etc.
Why must there? There are fossil records which illustrate how the first eyes and ears evolved. There is no evidence that the first simple life on earth was created supernaturally, but there IS evidence that it formed naturally. When all we have to go on is evidence, I'd take the evidence. Sorry Voltaire.

For ghosts I say no, however if it was spirits I have a story...

I believe a spirit has actually died "all the way" and a ghost is stuck between what people believe as the afterlife.
Basically, I had a relative who passed away. This relative every time they came where I was decided to look around the bathroom and make sure it was clean. (Idk why) They always came quite late.
Whenever I go to the bathroom in he middle of the night, now I see these "orbs" floating about. They are HUGE. These orbs seem to clean the area and move about lots...
Sorry for the short description, I'm going out but If you want to know more, PM me and I will reply later.
P.S Google orbs and look at some videos if you don't know what I am on about...

Anyone who believes in ghosts, arguing that they can't be disproved, are painfully making the evident argument ad ignorantiam fallacy. Just because you can't disprove ghosts doesn't mean there is anything plausible at all about them - on the contrary, the whole idea of ghosts and their haunting habits can be very rationally explained over the psychology of humans and low-frequency soundwaves that can cause an invisible tremour that may seem to be "spiritaul" in some sense.
This is a photograph of an Orb, from ghostweb.com
This is an out-of focus photograph of some lights.
The 'orb' in the first image is a droplet of water, which has fallen ahead of the focal point of the picture, as shown below:
The same happens with globules of tears secreted under the eyelids - in the middle of the night -, which rest on the surface of the eye and therefore cause visual defects by distorting light rays entering the eye.
Because the secretion is on the surface of the eye it will move with your field of vision.
The retina of the eye staines in bright lighting conditions, such as when you turn on the lights in the middle of the night, which will exacerbate the ethereal appearance of visual defects.
Conclusion, there's no clear reason why 'orbs' should be caused by spirits, but there is a clear reason why they are visual defects.

Raar!
Have any of you noticed that most "ghost encounters" have occurred during night time? Even the shows like ghosthunters film the show during night time. When in total darkness your mind can play tricks on you so that is when people believe they saw a ghost.
