Im so glad that most of the people here said Obama. Things are going up, why change? As far as Im concerned thats all that matters in this time period.

With a campaign slogan like "Change" you would assume he would actually DO the wonderful things that said he would accomplish in those well written, entrancing speeches.

That is true. Since the republicans control the house, they filibuster and kill almost every, even slightly liberal bill.

I'm not just letting religion alone control my own opinion. I have always believed that Holy Matrimoney (Marriage) should only be between one man and one woman because everybody has the right to have a mother and a father. Also, restricting gay marriage will help protect children because gay couples can't have kids and the demands for adoption will sky rocket. This means that women who are having babies may be influenced by this and make the wrong choice of giving their kid away which brings me to my second argument, abortion. It should not be legal because think about all of the great future generation people we are destroying inside the womb because we want to take the easy way out and not have to love and nurture and battle through hard times. So instead of abortion, there should be programs to help pregnant women financially and emotionally.

Perhaps if there were more couples looking to adopt then women pregnant with an unwanted foetus wouldn't feel the need to abort. You should also consider women's right to self determination, because it is- regardless of your view- their choice whether they want to carry a foetus or not: 77% of anti abortion campaigners are males, and 100% of them will never be pregnant, so never understand.

In any case, you stated your belief and then justified it with ungrounded assumptions about people's behaviour, which isn't fair on other people, because they might not behave how you think they will.

This is why politicians who build campaigns on restricting behaviour that hasn't been validated as harfmul or applicable to them, are lacking in a vital trait, empathy. I agree that support should be available for pregnant women, which is inclusive or respecting their choices about their own bodies.
