Yes, and as a native Illinoisan i'm always happy for one of us to win, but hopefully Obama does better this time around. He has ideas, if only the houses would let them pass.

I know, you bring up some very good points but all I'm saying is that it isn't the women's choice because it's not her life that's being wasted, it's the fetus's. If a woman chooses not to wear a condom and gets knocked up, then she should have to deal with carrying a baby for 9 months. And in cases of rape, which brings up my other argument which is instead of abortion, there should be programs to help those women finantialy. That's all I'm saying.

Woman's body, woman's choice. Empathy is required in law, because it's unrealistic to expect all women who ever get pregnant to willfully carry their foeti. If you insist they do then illegal abortions will take place in poor conditions [as was the case in the UK before abortions were legalised] which adds unnecessary risk to the welfare of the women involved. It is required that you put yourself in the shoes of a woman in an unwanted pregnancy, or a pregnancy which if not terminanted may risk her life etcetera. It's not simply a case of waiting around for 9 months, because pregnancy and labour are incredibly sufferous and dangerous for many women.

In addition this argument is largely irrelevant to homosexual marriage- I'd like to make that quite clear.
