Oh, I also had an idea: If the league gets popular enough, and enough people are participating, maybe we should have an Elite 4 and a Champion.

I'm kidding. We should have try-outs amongst the Leaders to decide who goes on to the Elite Four, and from then, who is the Champion. Once we have enough people willing to take the roles of Gym Leader, that is.

Maybe like this? Winner becomes Champion, finalist and semi-finalists become Elite Four members, other's who failed to make it to the second round battle it out for 4th Elite Four placement.

Have you guys heard of Pokemon Online?

It makes for fast and easy pokemon battles. you choose your team, move around their EVs and IVs. Chose their nature, level, moves, abilities, ect. Then connect online and play competitively in your choice of tiers.

My friends and I have been playing it quite a bit, it is a safe program with a good community. if you want examples of what the rules are and what pokemon are top tier, look no farther than Smogon.com.

So if we are wanting to play some pokemon, I think this program is the best way.

Well, if you can enhance IV's and EV's with this program, then it seems highly unfair, since someone could just pick the strongest pokémon, boost it's better stats, and use it. It doesn't seem right to me.

It's fair if everyone has enhanced IV's and EV's. When I play Pokemon, I see it as a strategy game, not as a game where whoever has the strongest Pokemon will win.

Plus I'm pretty sure there will be an option on there that will disallow IV and EV enhancements.

So I guess you guys don't like the rulings of metagame competition?

Too many people put too much sentiment when training Pokemon. Metagame competition assumes that everyone's Pokemon is fully trained because when you go into battle, how you trained a Pokemon doesn't matter. What matters is how well you utilize your Pokemon in battle.

I've been playing Pokémon for almost 12 years now. I've always trained my team properly, so I'm not going to change that now by going on some website to complete my training within seconds. D:
