~Chapter 1~
“Happy Hour in Andres!”, a voice called out in the Village Center. The voice was instantly smothered by cheering and talking and the other noises of the bustling town. People were heading towards the PR2 Stadium, for their chance at getting their racing ranks up and winning cool prizes.
Platform Racing was the Village's biggest thing. If Jiggmin's Village was a country, it would definitely be the national sport. There were three Platform Racing districts, each with different zones and tracks. Those zones are open depending on the time, and how many racers are around.
The PR1 district was obsolete, a wasteland of sorts. It used to be a popular race spot, and it was the first district constructed. Now it was overrun by thugs and trolls, and the occasional nostalgic oldies who would show up for the memories.
The PR3 district was looking to be a promising district, with the latest technology, and many new cool tracks. But mid construction, The Great Administrator Jiggmin ran out of funds, and couldn't continue. The Administrator of the neighboring city of Sparkworkz, a slimy fellow named inXile, offered to supply the rest of the funds as long as the district was owned by his city. Jiggmin only agreed because he really had no choice. The district was completed, and everybody was satisfied with the game. Well, for a little while. Then, suddenly the district was plagued with every issue in the book. People left, and it was realized the Jiggy was ultimately ripped off.
The PR2 district was by far the best district, and the one with the most longevity. Although it wasn't as fancy as PR3, it was probably the most reliable district for quality racing. There will always be thugs, trolls, cheaters and the occasional illegal actions, such as spamming and cussing, but the issues were almost always resolved, and many people were still doing what Platform Racing was all about.
Having fun.
And as a reward for keeping PR2 the best place in the world for Platform Racing, The Great Admin created Happy Hours. Happy Hour was an certain hour in any point of the day where all Platform Racers got more Experience for their races and had the chance to win exclusive prizes.
And so, many of the townspeople were heading towards the PR2 zone Andres for a certain Happy Hour. One of those people was Pin Drop Silence, better known as the Silent Artist. She was a very quiet person who was relatively shy. She followed a crowd of villagers, most of whom she already known.
The older woman with short black hair, brown eyes, and black squareish glasses was known as Akan. She was a pretty cool, outgoing chick who was friends with almost the whole Village. Walking beside her, talking, was Jennifer...erm, JENNiFER.... a younger girl with long brown hair and greyish-green eyes. Behind them was Zach77, some noob, and the brown haired PooZy, one of the legendary citizens of the Village, who had an obsession with pickles. And girls. He was flirting with Akan, who just rolled her eyes and continued talking with Jen.
The Artist walked in between Zach and PooZ. They glanced at her.
“Hey TSA”, PooZ grinned, cockily.
“Hello”, Zach said.
Pin Drop smiled at them, and started listening in to Akan and Jen's conversation, which was somewhat interesting.
“Ha. Isn't V your boyfriend?”, Akan asked, fairly sarcastically. Jen snorted in disgust.
“Are you kidding me?! He hates my guts!”.
Akan put her arm around the younger girl's shoulders, with a look of satisfaction on her face.
“That's my girl. I thought you were turning to the dark side for a bit there!”, she patted Jen's shoulder.
“And Darth V4V says: JENNiFER, I am your father!', Jen replied, nasally. They both bent over, laughing. Pin Drop grinned, as if she was about to laugh.
“That would be disturbing”, PooZy muttered, snickering. Zach spoke up.
“VforVendetta has been acting really weird lately, like he's been possessed or something.”.
“Maybe that's for the better!”, Akan said, grinning.
“Why should we believe Zach. He's a trolling noob.”, Jen spat. Zach glared at her.
“Shut up...”, he growled.
“Calm down, bro”, PooZ said to Zach.
Another sound, almost like white noise, was heard in the background. The Silent Artist tuned out of the conversation that was being held in the group, and looked around. The sweet smell of the Cactus Forest, which was bordering the Village and the PR2 District, flooded her nose for a moment. The smell began to fade as sunlight began to shine through the pointy foliage, marking the end of the Forest and the beginning of the District. The noise began to get louder and clearer as the group ventured further into the district. The sound was of people cheering, conversing and racing, and it became almost deafening as they approached the Andres zone, which was usually odd, since nobody really raced in the zone. Unless it was Happy Hour.
The Artist stopped walking, and looked around as the rest of her group registered into the zone. There was a rich diversity of people, from rank 0 newbies to the legendary rank 50s. There was quite a few mods scouring the premises, mostly talking with the other racers and racing themselves.
Preoccupied with observing her surroundings, Pin Drop literally jumped when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She spun around to meet...
The Great Administrator, Jiggmin.
“Howdy, do you know where the Andres zone is?”, he asked, with a clueless look on his face. Pin Drop blushed, her cheeks bright red. She pointed at the ground and nodded.
“Huh...”, Jiggy took a closer look. “Oh, so I'm in the Andres zone....Thanks!”, he ran off, leaving the Silent Artist flustered with the encounter.
“HEY! SILENT! HURRY UP, OR YOU'LL MISS HAPPY HOUR!”, PooZy's voice shook the Artist out of a fantasy. She darted up to the registration booth, where Akan, Jen, PooZ and Zach were waiting.
“Man, you look like you saw Jiggmin!”, Zach said. The Artist stared at him, with her signature silent look.
“Let's take a ride on the Newby Train! Toot Toot!”, Akan supplied, laughing.
“Sure”, Zach grinned.
“Why not?”, PooZ shrugged.
The Silent Artist nodded.
“I'll wait for you guys when you finish”, Jen said.
“Alrighty, let's go”, Akan said, as the four headed toward the Newby Train track. Jen walked over to a bench and sat down. She pulled out her phone, and started texting a friend. She failed to notice somebody's creepy shadow lurking over her.
“Hello.... Jennifer”, a bitter, arid voice hissed. Before she could move out of the way, the sickening sound of the ban hammer colliding with her body echoed throughout Andres. The demented mod....or was it an admin?, had already slithered away, by the time somebody came to aid the banned racer. The big question was why? Jen never did anything, except for sit on a bench.
Moments later, a message flashed on the screen of the large monitor that was placed on the front of the registration building, like a billboard. The message said:
VforVendetta has banned JENNiFER for 66667 seconds. Reason: Why not?.
If you like it, I'll continue it. If you don't like it....well, too bad, I'm continuing it
