Default What is your perspective on love?

Do you think it's the best thing on earth?
Or do you think it causes problems?

I think a lot of people lie that they experience romantic love, I used to lie about that too.

In my opinion love is an evolved trait designed to motivate creatures to survive and reproduce more effectively.
You love your family, because you survive better together as a team.
You love chocolate, because sugars are fuel which help you survive.
You love a partner, because it drives you to support one another's survival or even reproduce.

Those impulses began evolving millions of years ago, in primitve ancestors, so sometimes they don't suite modern situations, but much of the time they do, because the modern world was built around those impulses.

    Raar!

I love posting wacky irrelevant posts not because it funny, and amuses me, but because It accomplishes my desires for a complete systematic cycle of randomly generated nonsensical phrases that have no intent on benefiting or furthering a conversation. Additionally my mind set is not as unique as I would like to think it is. It is in fact and computer that calculates correct responses based on it's perception of the situation. I have no personality, I am a robot, and I will destroy the world.

You're not a robot... at least robots can be programmed for tasks with more arbitrary meaning that just existing and reproducing.
We'd all like to think our life and love is 'transcendingly meaningful', but those of us that think that haven't felt deathly hunger and thirst and realised we all share the same basic and primitve drive to survive.

I don't know if I ever will understand romantic, passionate love. Love between family members, yes, I got it and I feel it. But...

Love is a piece of shit that you can never get out of your ass.
It stays there and haunts you because you will never find L-O-V-E, EVER!

However, a lot of people rush into relationships, thinking they 'feel love', this is most common amongst 10-20 years old from what I've observed. One person believes they 'love' somebody, when they've gotten the meanings of 'love' and 'like' jumbled in their brain. It's annoying how people do this.

Response pending... I am trying to process an emotion and in turn process a response based on the emotion generated.
    Immediate emotion: Offended
    Likely response: Post on impulse
Response: No you are wrong! we all have emotions that make us special!

A quest for love is the death of it.

The Encyclopedia Galactica chapter on love states that it is far too complicated to define. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has this to say on the subject of love: Avoid, if at all possible.

Remember what you said about being a friend now?
The movement in her hips strikes the hour when the poison sets in
    How do you wake?
How do you sleep at night?
    Remember what you said
