Amon takes away Korra's bending: Aang and all the other Avatars come and give her bending back: Korra has become Ultimate Korra.
Not so satisfied with the season finale, a bit too quick paced for my tastes, especially directing towards those last three minutes. Nonetheless, it was very good for a series that was meant to only last for only one season.
I wonder what obstacles Team Avatar will face in season 2
Now, Commence the fan-art!

The season finale was awful. All that forced romance crap really ruined it in a big way for me. I really wish they hadn't pushed this Makorra crap so much and actually focused more on the plot of the actual show instead of trying to push into some crap about love.
Then again focusing on the plot might have been just as big of a mistake. Up until now it had been interesting; cool stuff happening, normies fighting for equal rights, good things and groovy feelings. Then, out of NOWHERE, Amon is Tarrlok's brother. That came out of absolutely nowhere and I did not like it. It felt like it was pulled out of someone's ass because they wanted to wrap everything up. It was pretty dumb and felt they could have thought of something much more interesting to happen.
It's also annoying as all hell to know that, with Amon being dead, we'll never find out HOW he was using his blood bending to block another's bending, or how it works with the spiritual world, given the fact Korra was able to restore hers and other's bending after reconnecting with the spirit world.
Last thing was the deus ex machina of Aang appearing out of nowhere at the very end. Aang showing up just in time for the end of the season to make everything all kittens and rainbows again, just in time for Mako to come in and ruin it even more. buh.
The only redeeming part of the whole thing was Amon and Tarrlok. I was sad when they died. ;_;

If I'm not mistaken, the same thing happened to Aang in The Last Airbender's season finale. Aang couldn't figure out how to defeat Fire Lord Ozai without killing him, so he went to meditate on an island. Turns out, the island was actually a giant lion-turtle who happened to know how to energybend. Aang learned how to energybend from the giant lion-turtle thus enabling him to take away Ozai's bending.
Speaking about similarities between two season finales, I noticed how The Last Airbender ended with Aang taking away the ability to bend whereas The Legend of Korra ended with Korra restoring the ability to bend.
I really do think the end is disappointing.
I really wonder what they're going to do in the next season (and I heard season 3 is most likely also coming). I mean Korra has learned all the 4 elements and she can go into avatar state. The only thing left to do is either make a season about the spirit world or make Sato the villain in the next season.
Or they could always make the entire season about Bumi and Meebo travelling around the world doing things. THAT. WOULD. BE. AWESOME.
I was told this would be a mini series. What really is hard to wrap my head around is what exactly defines 'mini'? How many seasons? Does it mean just less episodes in a season? Or could there have been just one season. The animators, maybe they never could come up with an exact idea of what happened to Zuko's mother just wants us to think over everything so we can decide for ourselves.
