HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP HOLY CRAP SO MANY FEELS
Amon takes away Korra's bending: Aang and all the other Avatars come and give her bending back: Korra has become Ultimate Korra.
Not so satisfied with the season finale, a bit too quick paced for my tastes, especially directing towards those last three minutes. Nonetheless, it was very good for a series that was meant to only last for only one season.
I wonder what obstacles Team Avatar will face in season 2
Now, Commence the fan-art!
The season finale was awful. All that forced romance crap really ruined it in a big way for me. I really wish they hadn't pushed this Makorra crap so much and actually focused more on the plot of the actual show instead of trying to push into some crap about love.
Then again focusing on the plot might have been just as big of a mistake. Up until now it had been interesting; cool stuff happening, normies fighting for equal rights, good things and groovy feelings. Then, out of NOWHERE, Amon is Tarrlok's brother. That came out of absolutely nowhere and I did not like it. It felt like it was pulled out of someone's ass because they wanted to wrap everything up. It was pretty dumb and felt they could have thought of something much more interesting to happen.
It's also annoying as all hell to know that, with Amon being dead, we'll never find out HOW he was using his blood bending to block another's bending, or how it works with the spiritual world, given the fact Korra was able to restore hers and other's bending after reconnecting with the spirit world.
Last thing was the deus ex machina of Aang appearing out of nowhere at the very end. Aang showing up just in time for the end of the season to make everything all kittens and rainbows again, just in time for Mako to come in and ruin it even more. buh.
The only redeeming part of the whole thing was Amon and Tarrlok. I was sad when they died. ;_;

I'm so retro, you don't even know. I bet you've never even heard of me.
Just walk away, make it easy on us both.
Just walk away, there was never any hope.
Just walk away, you already know the deal.
Just walk away, pretend that none of this was real.

Speaking about similarities between two season finales, I noticed how The Last Airbender ended with Aang taking away the ability to bend whereas The Legend of Korra ended with Korra restoring the ability to bend.
I really do think the end is disappointing.
Or they could always make the entire season about Bumi and Meebo travelling around the world doing things. THAT. WOULD. BE. AWESOME.
Since when was what is here more interesting than what is up there?
