I was told this would be a mini series. What really is hard to wrap my head around is what exactly defines 'mini'? How many seasons? Does it mean just less episodes in a season? Or could there have been just one season. The animators, maybe they never could come up with an exact idea of what happened to Zuko's mother just wants us to think over everything so we can decide for ourselves.

At first Nickelodeon only wanted one short season (12 episodes), but when the news got out and the everyone went crazy they got a deal for another season with 14 episodes.

The problem is though that the writers already made season one before season 2 got ordererd. So they already finished the story and made sure that it ended with closure.

So now they need some bright ideas to draw out a new story while keeping character development. They posed a challenge for themselves by making the most impossibly confusing and undefeated character die early, but it's not their fault.

I just hope that they don't turn the series into one of the usual cartoons. Poses a problem in one episode and it's finished by the time 11 minutes are up.

I could only dream of that.

I was hoping they'd draw it out more. No Avatar State which I was fully expecting. They claim the bending is more fluent in this series then it was in the old one and yet they leave out the most powerful bending phenomena in the series and replace it with blood bending which you can't so much as see if you had x ray vision to see into the character's body. Ashame.

To be fair, Korra is kinda the freaking Avatar. She has the spirits of thousands of Avatars before her to help her give her bending back.

Nine, ten and eleven, I think. I'm not sure, though.
One of the episodes showed Tarrlok's past, the other showed what happened between Aang and Yakone. Those were both pretty significant.

There may have been another. I'm not sure, though.

Watch all 4 (Ep. 9, 10, 11, 12) episodes I missed, and I have to say... It was pretty dark. I mean, what was up with a Chi-blocker busting into a couple's house and electrocuting the mom... In the city?

What I really hated was that they pushed the Makorra/Makami shit too far.

On the bright-ish side: There's now a second-half of Season 1, called Book 2: Spirits, and will air in 2013. Dammit, too long. Season 2 is also splitted into two books... Season 2 has 28 episodes, and Season 1 has 26 episodes... Meaning... THERE WILL BE 54 EPISODES!!!

What I ALSO didn't like is that Korra only used her spiritual crap once in Book 1. That's just stupid. No Avatar bending during the Republic City attacks...
