The search feature is useless the way it is now.

In spy hubs you should be able to search for people who's stuff you can steal, not people who's destroyed empire you can look at. It shouldn't find people that don't have the (not destroyed) buildings where you could steal the things you searched for. Also the spy network's strength should somehow affect the effiency of the search.

I agree that it isn't particularly useful right now. However, you are wrong that your Spy Network Strength does not affect the efficiency of it. Having a stronger network will result in people with more of that stuff (e.g., trying with a strength of 1 will often give people with very little coin) and also makes it more likely that more players will show in the list. (You can't ever get more than the number of turns you spend, though.)

I wonder if FACE's spy bonus works on this?

The only stat I have a problem with is turns. Most people you search for that have 300 turns don't even have an HQ.
