I made this topic for people that usually are new to Platform Racing 2 or the ones that really want to know some informations about the hats.

As a matter of fact, there are 8 hats there yet.

1.Kongregate Hat
You can get it from level 1 just by logging in on PR2 on Kongregate... Easy huh? Well it has some more advantages. If you finish a race with it, it will give you x1.25 Experience.

2.Exp Hat
Randomly races to get! It's pretty rare, but good enough to level more. It gives you 2x EXP when finishing a race wearing it.

3.Top Hat
Beat Golden Compass by Shadowfax to get it. It's pretty cool for a "Sir" Look, as I am wearing it. The advantage of wearing it is that you can go trough vanish blocks without "disturbing" them. Really good advantage for races like Zerostar.

4. Santa Hat
It goes ON in December. You get it free by racing randomly in december or logging in on Christmas day. It freezes the blocks you stand on. You can actually Go over bombs and safety net. Cool right?

5. Party Hat
You can win it by racing in december or logging in on New Years Eve. It defends you from Lightning.

6. Propeller Hat
Win it by beating Hat Factory in old Campaign or beating the pre-last race in new Campaign. Hold up while in air will make you float but go down in the same time. Like a parachute!

7.Crown Hat
If you want it you must help us cure the cancer by winning 5.000 points in Folding @ Home. It makes you invincible at all but the lightning.

8.Cowboy Hat
Most people know it as a luck because you randomly get it for one race by 5% Chance, but folders know it as a super help in curring the cancer. To get it you must really prove you want to cure cancer by earning 100.000 Points in Folding @ Home. You can fly wearing it!

Xueqin tested it and he said it was about 5%. He played a level like 2000 times or something, so I think he's right.

Good guide, U should take screenies of your player wearibng all them and put them next to the description of the hat. THAT would be cool. If u dont have cowboy/crown, ask a freind to screenie one for u.

You get it randomly while playing a race, but it'll disappear after you finish it.

You can win Santa hat anywhere any time :3 Not just in December.

I didn't actually calculate things, bur a close inspection on the numbers he provided an some knowledge of statistical analysis prove that the likeliness of him being right is extremely high. It is 5%.

Also, you can get Santa and Party hat as a random prize all year round, although it's true that you get them automatically on Dec 25 (Santa) and 31 (Party).

You can only win Crown and Cowboy via F@H. And I don't see that changing, ever.
