So, this game came out today. It's a new Sonic game where you can play as 'classic' or 'modern' Sonic. It looks pretty good, i'll be getting it probably.

Wow. It looks pretty good, but its for Ps3 right? :/ Anyways, I don't really like the classic sonic one. :I I liked Act 2. It looks like a good game though. I didn't like Sonic Colors. It was boring in my opinion.

It's for Ps3, i'm pretty sure. Classic Sonic looks OK, but not the best. I have to agree with you disliking Sonic Colors-I never really liked that one. I loved unleashed, but some night stages were... eh. Eggmanland was pretty much a really long level, but I took a secret shortcut that makes it go quicker (no, not the one where you have to use that one combo to glitch through the wall) I can't wait to play this, i'll probably play it Friday.

A 3DS version is coming out in a couple of days, and it looks pretty decent too.

Meh, it doesn't look like it has much 3-D, just a lot of flat. I probably won't get the 3DS one (I don't have a 3DS anyway, so...)

Sonic Colors was just boring in my opinion. The humour wasn't funny at all, and honestly kind of stupid. >.<

Don't really like the 3DS one. The way it looks...I'd rather go with the Ps3 one. Ps3 one looks great. Just don't think its worth it. (3DS one)

I thought Sonic Colors was fun, especially the final boss. ^^'
The story was decent, the dialogue is so cheesy it is kind of funny, and the gameplay is the main show (a good show too). The grabbed Sonic Unleashed's Day Gameplay, and added some extra stuff, while Sonic Generations is just like Sonic Unleashed's Day gameplay.

Umm....SONIC ADVENTURE 3 (no battle, for that means remake), also Sonic Adventure 1 was amazing, imo.

True, but the newest ones seem to have lots of potential.

Got Sonic Generations. Alot of weirdness with the voice acting but the levels, omg they're the best I've played since the 2D days and there are loads of challenges and stuff, like getting through the Chemical Plant with just a bubble shield. It's weird because Sky Sanctuary is one of the FIRST levels. o_O

If I had any complaints then what I've seen so far, the game is patronisingly easy, like it was made for retarded people. I wonder if it'll get more difficult.

The game looks great IMO. I'd prefer the console version, but they won't make a Wii one. An interview said they were making one for each company, and the 3DS version was Nintendo's.
Yet Microsoft gets two (360 and Windows.)
Though to be fair they also said that the Wii couldn't achieve the same level of graphics as the other versions, which is probably true.

Anyway the 3DS one looks great anyway. I have it on preorder at gamestop, so I can get it as soon as it comes out.


And on a side note, Colors was great. The dialogue may be overly cheesy, but seriously, nobody plays a game for the cutscenes. (well, unless it's final fantasy...)

They aren't the same game. First off....NSMBW includes Multi-player, minigames, and more power-ups. Sonic Generations has more different levels and two different gameplay styles WITH upgrades. Why remove a winning formula?

Well the 2D Sonic games weren't famous for being difficult.
