We go to Disney every 4 years with other trips to DC, Chicago, NYC, Onterio, etc. for the music dept.

I personally go to Florida at least once per year, this year I'm going three times.

My band had the opportunity to do a parade in Disneyland last season; however, several person in my band did something really stupid to cause my band director to change his mind.

    Have fun at Disney.
This Thursday I leave for Breckenridge Contest. One day of competition, then four days of doing whatever I want.

    Bump.
Rumor is this summer my band is doing Phantom Regiment's 2003 show.

It's official. I'm doing marching band in high school next year. Except I won't be marching, because the only positions left are for marimba/xylo stuff and keyboard synth.

A senior from band arranged Party Rock Anthem for out marching band to play this year. We don't usually do anything with our marching band besides local events though. At least it will be fun to play.

    I just joined marching band.
I'm in the pit, and I will probably also play synth and maybe some other things.

Oh I already posted that. Derp.

Anyway, we had our first practice. I already have blisters.

Well, for many people, Marching Band season is starting and DCI season is getting warmed up. Several of our or band members are in Blue Knights.

We have our first three rehearsals, sight reading the music, next week. We're doing Phantom Regiment's 2003 show, Harmonic Journey.

    Bump.

We had our first music rehearsal today. The music is really fun.

Coolio. Our season has pretty much started now. Apparently we have to do some marching as well, so I'll be working on that this week. I can't wait to get indoors for some time to work on music.

We saw the BLUE DEVILS. Our entire drumline was required to attend the DCI show. We also got to watch them practice and saw some of their warmups. We talked to them as well. It was an enjoyable experience.

Nice lol. All of our directors marched with different cores xD. Our head director marched with Cadets, our percussionist specialist marched with Blue Knights, our Low Brass specialist marched with Vanguard, and our Orchestra Teacher (She's a percussionist.) marched with Phantom regiment.

Anyways, now that I'm back, it's time to start posting my band's shows n' stuff. This is the latest recorded one.

In there we marched our first two songs.
We have currently learned our first three songs, and we almost have the fourth and final one down with about 10 sets left to learn. I love our closer. There's baritone soli and so much more.

Dude. The Blue Devils are my favorite Drum Corps. I am extremely jelly right now. A lot of the music staff in my old school marched/played with them.

Alright, so for this year's show (which is my last via high school ), we are doing the 80s songs. Our first one was from a song called, "Bang on the Drum all Day". In this video, we were setting up for the show.

Before I post this, please note that yes, the 50 was available, but for some reason, it would help us (for what, I don't know ;-.

Secondly, this video was taken (apparently) on the FIRST TIME of marching and playing, so don't get too much about criticizing this.

Finally, normally, I would play on the bells. However, I have a Freshman who wanted to play one as well, so we decided that for songs 1 (which is this) and 3, I would have the bass drum, and for songs 2 and 4, I would have the bells.

    Anyways, here's the video:

In my last post I mentioned we had most of our show down. Last monday we learned the rest, so here's last night show. I LOVE the closer.

One week from today we have out first contest. Wooooo

EDIT: Also it was our first game in uniforms this year.

    Bump.

Our show is too long, as you can see in our video, about thirty seconds or so.

So We're doing a pre-show woo. We're pretty much starting our show right when the announcer starts his announcements. When the announced says 'You may take the field for competition.' we're SUPPOSED TO (If everything goes perfect.) be at our first hit, and it will be awesome if it works.

So in two days, on Saturday we're going to our first contest, the Golden Triangle Contest. Wish us luck.

I've had that same problem before, and we've solved it with a combination of taking out repeats, firing section leaders, and having a party on the field.
