GTA 4 Deranked?

I was playing gta all yesterday and got to rank 8. Woke up this morning and now I'm rank 6??? Is it a glitch or something?

Sometimes on alot of different games levels will get rolledback, usually for a reason.
I'm pretty sure it happened to others too.

Hmmm, it happened to my other account too, was rank 8 then down to 0, but that accounts rank soon changed back to 8. It's not changing back on this one D:

I think it works with online too, has to.

You can occasionally lose progress in multiplayer if you play a match and quit out before the 'rounds' end.
Generally you should wait out the whole sitting, and turn the game off normally as opposed to just switching whichever console you're playing on off.
