And if it was sever sided, you just need to some how get asses to the sever...

ANYTHING can be hacked. Sometimes it's just much more difficult than others.

If you can connect to a server, you can hack it. That's why dynamic IPs are used, rather than Static IPs which don't use up IP possibilities.

It does sounds nice, but would make no sense in my opinion. What's the point of banning somebody for over one year, anyway?
Besides, those who have been recently banned for quite some time would come back already, while others had to wait forever.

So? I don't see how that's bad. If someone proves that they can post without getting infractions/banned again then why would they need to be banned for a year?
