Remove PR3 Block Creator - PETITION

Negative, those types of people will always be around regardless of this program, game, or the circumstance. As I've said before I'm not going to not make something just because people can use it in a negative way; anything and everything can be abused one way or another, that shouldn't stop anyone from creating new products.

Yes, they will, but the fact that they are around does not matter unless they can do something. With this, they can do much more. I'm not saying they couldn't do anything before, as the community obviously did have alot of them before. But this just makes it worse.
People should not not make things just because they CAN be abused. But this WILL, inevitably, be abused. And not just a little. The whole idea of making blocks is completely different with this.
Your analogy is like saying you shouldn't not invent things such as a tool for getting through locks just because they can be bad. What use they do have is obviously outweighed by the obvious fact that they will be used badly. When there is more bad than good from something, you should not do/make it. Good things have a limited worth, and should not be made at the expense of making worse things happen.

Also you want to know how to go about keeping credit to artist where its do. Make it so when you save a block the creators name is always attached to it. When you transfer a block to someone the name stays and they can't edit the block in anyway (only the original creator of the block) to load it and re-save it as a different name to try and change the original creators name. Then when blocks are transferred around the person who gets the block can always see who really made the block.

Also depending on how far you wanted to push it and even better, there could be a simple button when playing a game called say 'credits' that will generate a list of all current blocks in the level with there original creators name next to it.

I've actually examined the data sent between the server and the flash app with one of my development tools and that data is already stored with the block its really just a matter of displaying it...

I wish you were right here. Unfortunately, WE CAN DO NO SUCH THING! Only Jiggmin can make those features. I wish he would, but how many suggestions does he use? Not many. I'm sure he has been PMed about how to fix this problem many times. Has he done anything? As usual, NO. NOTHING. It's as if he didn't even GET the PM!

Maybe someone should get a bunch of people, and have them ALL PM Jiggmin the exact same message at the same time. If he ignores it, do it again. Individual PMs don't work on Jiggmin. Maybe you can get those bunch of people.

Why the difference of both options? While the yes one is just a "Yes, remove it" the no one is a "omg no don't remove it I love it if you remove the block creator I'll start to kill", or what is the same, to say that if you vote no you're a kid who gets desespperated ( spelling are hard ) because the so loved program could get deleted. A simple yes and no would be enough. Easy to tell that the creator of this topic wants this removed. And also, Ander, just because "no" wins means Sparkworkz-ers are making accounts only to vote? Really?

Also, with this is like with everything, a lot of people didn't want the block editor to start with because of "possible pr0n". Now you're against this program because of the bad community. Do we have to stop something that lot of people could give a good use because some people can give it a bad use? It's like suiciding because you're being afraid of death. There's no need, in my honest opinion, to go raging because the so kown program exists. You only want to see the bad sides of it and the only thing I can think of ( I'll be wrong so correct me ) is because you want to have the monopoly of art. Only the people who are 1 month working in a level deserve to have those good levels? Just no. And this is just my opinion, I'm not trying to offense no one, if I did, sorry.

PS. For those who are awesome at art, you can't fear the people who can copy your blocks/drawings because people already know that it is YOURS, so I just don't understand why that fear of being copyed. For example, you can see gumybot13's bomb everywhere and people won't give credit. But you know it's made by him, so the owner can't say it made it itself. With the rest is the same.

This is the same thing I said in my post basically.

If Jiggmin can't fix this problem with the block creator, then Omicron should shutdown the program.

He doesn't have to fix anything; all he has to do is voice his opinion somewhere where I can see it saying he doesn't approve of the program and doesn't want it or it's against the rules and I'll gladly stop updating the program, take down the links, and he can stop the current versions out by updating the editor.

Based on experience that I've seen and had myself the likely hood of that is slim to none unfortunately.

They need to practice. That's what I did. They don't practice, though. They either use this noobie program or uses stolen blocks made by a JV'er.

I have one thing to say about Sparkworkz-ers. They are

Not everyone who uses this Program are Sparkworkz-ers.
Other people on JV use it. You can't stop a program like this from spreading.
Oh another thing....
Platform Racing 3 is just a game, you don't have to overeact about these stuff.
The reason why your so mad at this is because some users are misusing it. You should blame them, not the program.

I also know a way on how to stop this program, but i'm not goin to tell you because.
1. This may ruin Artist's way of making levels
2. It will be taking a step backwards for level making
3. Artist's will have to spend longer times to find the right colors.

So, in this case.
There is no way stopping this program, you can complain all you want, but you cannot do anything about it.

They didnt want to play pr3 to make blocks. They wanted to play pr3. I am saying that people can wait 3 days to create a block

It seems basically what it boils down too is people who dont have the time to make nice blocks or the skills too, should suffer with lesser quality and potentially not have as much fun as they could have with nicer looking blocks because you so called level makers/artist probably dont share your blocks because well you spent all this time making it and want it for yourself why should you give it away.

Shouldn't you get some enjoyment out of the fact that your blocks are so good that others would like to use them as well to potentially make nice levels? Dont you think you'd be helping out the community more sharing your nicely designed blocks rather then being big headed about it... I know I'd feel good seeing my blocks being used everywhere because everyone loves them.

When someone gets a block they put it in a block shop.
When someone puts it in a block shop they get more blocks for it.
When someone buys it, they put it in their level and give no credit.
When another person buys it, they put it in their block shop
Finally everyone on pr3 has it, the noobs accuse you of stealing it, and there are no original levels. Were you there when everyone used gumy's bomb block? it was used for months and now I dont even see it anymore

Personally, I don't like the program. What's the point of drawing your blocks and levels when you can just click, click, click and make graphical drawings and blocks without even trying. This is not fair for those who actually spend good time and effort making their levels. So anything can be duplicated with this program now? Now I draw something and someone decides to take it? People can steal eachother's blocks without even trying. This also gives people less of an excuse to try making original blocks. Why even TRY to make a block when you can just take some pics from the internet? Or maybe even take your friend's blocks?

I encourage drawing your own blocks. I find it much better if people can make their own set of blocks and use them for their levels instead of just using some program to do the work for them. It shows that they put real effort into making their level and deserve recognition for it.

Also, the block creator is a new feature to the platform racing series. So PR3 would just basically be the exact same as PR2 without it.

Well thank you Jiggmin for coming in your voicing your opinion on the matter (somewhat), something is better then nothing in this case. If you don't approve of it though and/or don't want it around we can make it happen together. I can easily take down the site and unpublish my levels with all the info for it and send you the info on how it works and what you can do to stop the current versions from working. The block creating part of it is easy to stop, the background creating part of it though I don't think there's any way to stop the current versions of that from working which might not be all that bad because eliminating the block creating part is the biggest issue foremost for people.

Maybe now some people can lay off my back about it as I've always been willing to cooperate in getting it removed if you didn't approve or want it around. They can address there concerns and 'hate/anger' towards you.

P.S. You know you can implement what my program does native into the flash application, shouldn't be that hard to do too add a 'import' feature, I've done some flash work myself. By doing so it'd eliminate my program and of course make the process like 10000 times faster as it would be instantly imported in. That all depends on just how much you like it. :p

Woah...Didn't expect that.
It had been suggested by many people that Pr3 (or Pr2) have a picture paster, so you could just paste pics into your level. That idea was (I think) rejected as something that would cause more harm than good. This is what this program does.
It used to be possible to steal blocks. You fixed that. This is what this program does.
Now, you DO want people to do that stuff?
I admit, it's kind of cool, I made such a program myself for Pr2, then Pr3, and thought I was pretty cool. But, actually having it in the game has bad consequences. I saw that, and so didn't publish either program. Few knew I had either.
Cool, yes. Good, no.

This makes it more likely I will not come back to Pr3 when I can.....
