Their lyrics are.. Not what I'd call powerful.. I'd call them weird.. I mean, "Like any morning of my junior year, I stumble in the classroom late, I feel an air like a funeral, like a wake as I sit down, teacher speaking...".
And they sound like The Offspring, but with no rhythm and a worse singer, and The Offspring aren't exactly what I'd call 'dramatic' or 'poetic'.
When I read "powerful lyrics", I was expecting something along the lines of "Coming Home - Iron Maiden", or "A Man I'll Never Be - Boston".
But hey, we all have different opinions.
Will listen to the rest of it, and then pass.. The Final Judgement.
Edit: Literal LOL at the Death Metal-esque "JANUARY NINE TEENTH!!!".
Edit2: I stand by what I said, I don't really like it.. The guy is putting too much strain on his voice for no apparent reason, just makes it sound horrible, the music doesn't fit, the lyrics are.. As you said, like a story, but.. A story written by someone who LOVES repetition.. And I don't love repetition.
