The bible gives a very contradictory view of god. Through the first half he's like a warrior, encouraging war and killing thousands and advising violent punishment for non-believers and sinners. Through the second half he's the opposite in most regards. Almost as if the two halves were written by two different civilizations...oh wait
What conclusions could this thread reach?
If we really were to approach ths subject from a blunt logical perspective we would have to admit
-The proposed ideas of Gods are unfalsifiable, regardless of their doctrines this is true of all popular deities.
-Unfalsifiable ideas are untestable and therefore skepticism is the most justified view of them, this is subject to change if falsifiable deities are proposed, however we should agknowledge every single falsifiable deity in history has been, well, falsified.
Skepticism is the most justified view of unfalsifiable ideas because multiple unfalsifiable ideas can describe any one situation, to chose one without a test of falsifiability would be a fallacy of desiring closure ahead of epistemological fact, and that's what this argument is about.
Raar!
if i believe in heaven then i believe in god i guess
Not necessarily. One can believe in an afterlife without god. The problem with that, however, is the concept of the afterlife is intrinsically tied to deities and have been presented as such. Without the existence of religions, would you even think of the afterlife as a thing, much less a thing that exists?

I don't believe in God but if he exists then this God is a jerk.

Conclusion: Stop worrying about it. You don't need to believe in any god to live a great life and be a good person. If a potential god isn't satisfied with that, then screw them. Does god exist? I don't care anymore.

It's like this conversation has been going on for years.
Ohwait. It has.
It started with a whisper, and that was when I kissed her
And then she made my lips hurt
I could hear the chitchat, take me to your love shack
Mamas always gotta backtrack, when everybody talks back
"Details of these predicted variations have been confirmed by the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe (WMAP) and other experiments, and will be further tested by the Planck satellite, data from which is currently under analysis."

So, for the record, when Blackie reported 'there was no evidence for inflation theory at all,', he was lying. The WMAP has been operating since 2001 and data's been available since as far back as at least 2003 with regular updates since.

Not sure why I didn't dig around to find out about this sooner.
Raar!
There seems to be an abundance of Gods on this Earth. A bunch of Gods residing in the imaginations of those who choose to believe in something that restricts your life.
I pity.

If my friends don't believe in god, I'm gonna say: Well good luck in hell!
If my girlfriend doesn't believe in god, I'm gonna yell: IT'S OVER. YOUR GONNA GOTO HELL CUZ YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD.
I thought I might share that Beka-books, an establishment for private teaching in louisiana [which for some reason also has state funding] has decided to teach children that dinosaurs still exist and used to live side by side humans.
They site the Loch Ness monster, claim that ultra sound scans of Loch Ness confirm its existance and that it's a plesiosaur. Unfortunately for Beka-books plesiosaurs are both extinct and not dinosaurs.
Along with this they additionaly teach other strange nuggets of wisdom, such as
-the KKK fought moral decline, so they weren't all bad
-Set theory is superfluous because God made maths and it is therefore absolute
Raar!
So basically people are still stupid, surprise, surprise
No matter what I just said, It was shit and it was real.
