I tried the latest snapshot. Tripwires are awesome, pity they're so buggy. If I could remember how inverters worked I'd make a door that automatically opens without obvious pressure plates...
Good thing I have a huge wheat farm.
I killed all of my farm animals and got 17 raw porkchops, 18 raw chickens, and 4 levels. Now I only have 3 pigs, but I'm planning on finding some sheep and cows.

Lol, dyes gonna be useful for decorations, but they are flammable.. As for cows, they provide leather armor, so at least you can wear some cheap armor, or make books once 1.3 comes out.

Just use a redstone torch, it is practically an inverter.
I wanted to change the normal steve skin to something very cool but I must purchase Minecraft first
You can change your skin for free by just editing the texture pack (that is, if you do have a texture pack installed). If you'd like, I can tell how to do so.

I always spawn IN one, and it only breaks for a river or a small normal-tree-forest before going back to jungle...
I never spawned in a jungle.
Btw, I have got the most interesting seed ever, spawn in a village, huge cave system & ravine exactly below, stronghold and a huge abandonned mine shaft and 3 dungeons below the sea
In the past two days I made 2 mob traps. Worked pretty well but I died while making the second one so I lost all my exp from before. xD

Kinda pissed at Minecraft.
Removed the snapshot cause I wanted to try Tropicraft..
Followed the install guide very carefully.. Yet.. As soon as I opened Minecraft, I'd log in, select New World, and then blackscreen.
Deleted all the mods, went into Minecraft.. Blackscreened.

I feel like punching you in the face right now.
I've played Minecraft since the earliest of releases, when modding was rare and the fans few.. And you have the gall to say, "Did you delete Meta-Inf?"..
Of course I did, it's the first thing I do.
If I hadn't deleted it, it wouldn't have started the game at all, but it did start, and as soon as a world opened, it blackscreened, ruling out any Meta-Inf problems.
Also, the fact that it's occurring without mods is also a hint that it's not Meta-****ing-Inf.
Now, does anyone have anything serious to say regarding my problem?

Do you have ModLoader and the Minecraft Forge Client ?
you said you followed the install guide carefully so i'm guessing you did that.
I just tried it out and it works fine for me, don't know whats causing the problem.
I followed the instal guide word for word.
Installed mod-loader first, then forge, then made the mod folder and stuck Tropicraft in it, I even used the recommended version of Forge, and I didn't stick anything in the wrong place, Modloader and Forge went in the Jar, Tropicraft went in the mods folder.. Opened up a new world.. Boom.
And it's the same with regular Minecraft too, that worries me.
