I have full iron armour, but they put me in the middle of nowhere... :/
Use it to light your house, it's about 10x better than torches.
bad thing is that when you break one it drops 2 dust. (4 dust = 1 glowstone)
Which is why I use Jack-o-lanterns. Pumpkin + torch = jack-o-lantern.
It has the same light level as glowstone and is less risky to obtain.
Java keeps running outta memory and I need to restart MC all the time. :[

Should we all get a mic, a voice chat and grief or own on other PVP servers?
Our hosts (Such as our dear Okki Rokki Lokki) aren't so stable atm, and we could use some time off JV related servers

So today I played some minecraft and I have this very orthodox way of mining:
1. Go all the way down to bedrock (The farthest you can go)
2. Continue mining a 2 width y 3 height tunnel
3. F*** the caves, ignore then and if you can't pass them turn the tunnel a different direction
4. Find crap load of diamonds
Found 12 diamonds in 5 minutes just doing this. O_o

Very efficient, I found 6 diamonds and tons of redstone doing this.
Layer 9 is awesome
Just make sure that the server doesn't have these 'What ore X person found' plugin or you'll be accused from xraying (Yeah I'm copy pasting this again)
You could try what GamerProist posted, but changing your render distance helps a lot, then make sure your graphics are on fast not fancy, then make sure you don't have advanced OpenGL on. Then turn particles off(or as low as possible).
Not sure exactly how much that'll help but try it anyways.
When I would get on Nick's server I'd mine at layer 9 and 10, I found at least 32 diamonds after about an hour and a half of mining and I'd get accused of xraying

If you are going to mine in a straight line Always go by the following steps:
>Mine at layer 12!
>Mine in a straight 1 block wide 2 block high tunnel
>Carry a bucket because lava lakes will be on the layer right below you(11). If you encounter a lava lake, simply pour your bucket and continue your tunnel
>Branch off of main tunnel by creating a new identical tunnel branching off every third block.
Always Always Always mine at layer 12!
1:Lava lakes are found at layer 11 so you won't get lava on yo face.
2: Diamonds are most prevalent at ~layers 13-18
3:Less bedrock = greater chance of finding some ore.
Not saying this is a good or bad video, but this is how ya do it.

Lava seas generate most rapidly at layer 9(from my experience) . So 10 is a little better. I've always had more luck at 10.
Lava Lakes are most prevolant at layer 11.
