I got this item from my best friend when I was in the second grade. She was a year older than me, and I haven't seen her since.

On a summer, she want to Mexico and she promised she would get me something. When she came back, she had brought these small keychain sandals. I got to choose from a blue or green flower on it... I chose the green. I take it everywhere I go.


Or, it might be the tamagachi I got in kindergarten from my best friend Jade. I still have it. <3

Alright, I think I found mine. It's just a little toy koala that clips onto your pencil, but it means a lot to me.

I don't want to sound like somebody seeking sympathy, because I'm not, but back in 3rd grade, I had about 2 friends. Everybody else either pretended I wasn't there or literally went out of their way to hurt me. I would constantly come home from school with bruises and cuts. Then, during the 2nd and 3rd marking period, our teacher had to leave because she was pregnant. So we got a substitute teacher for those 2 marking periods, and she was the nicest person I knew back then. She became my best friend, and she even stopped some of the people that were bullying me.

So towards the end of the 3rd marking period, she gave me this little koala pencil clip-on because I loved koalas back then and I had like 3 of those clip-ons. However, this one was actually a souvenir she got when she went to Australia. She was gone for a week and a half during the 3rd marking period because of the trip. It really made me feel special that she was actually thinking of me during that trip. She really made a big impact on my life. Even though she was one of the only friends I had that year, she was one of the greatest friends I've ever had, and that's why this little koala means so much to me.

Again, I'm not looking for sympathy or anything, I'm just saying what happened.
