Well i guess that's true. Hehe i remember when he was a mod. Then BAM he was an admin. I like him, he's cool. But if he's still active-ish then i guess he didn't retire.

(His is a possessive pronoun, used like "that is his decision". It is not a contraction for "he is" and even if it was "he is" would still be correct.)
(He'd means "he had" or "he would". It should be "he has" since you were previously using the present tense.)
(Also, you capitalize "an" as if he put "a", but you really changed more than just that.)
(I think the commas might be supposed to go before the end " but I never do that because I think it makes more sense the way I do it, even if it looks worse.)
