For the pyro update, I'm kinda wondering what new weapons the pyro will get to make him even more overpowered.

Pyro's one of the weakest classes in the game right now, probably second behind spy.

Nah, heavy is the most effective in the largest number of situations. Very difficult to take down, and can deal ridiculous damage.

Demo's a close second, though.

I'm just thinking that pyro can counter the most classes (soldier, demoman, spy, medic, etc) and is only ineffective against level 3 sentry guns. If a pyro knows what they're doing, than there is almost nothing stopping them. However, you do have a point, because it is quite hard getting in close/singling out enemies.

The pyro/soldier is more of a tossup. If the soldier can fire unpredictably, he can have an edge against the pyro.

Pyro's aren't great against demo's either. If a demo is airbursting, there isn't much the pyro can do about that.

Good scouts can ruin pyro's, good heavies too, and engineers have their sentry. The only classes they really counter are the spy and the soldier to a small extent.

Have you fought a smart solly as a pyro? If he sees that you can airblast, he'll start using the shotgun or splash damage such that you can't reflect back at him.

Pyro's the best, it's amazing when you use the Degreaser with an Axtinguisher and get the hang of it. You can just go off on random kill streaks, and the best part are the airblasts. It's so fun to troll scouts with it, and then just kill 'em.
